When I was a kid during the ‘Made In Canada’ campaign I can still remember how hard the adults laughed at it. No one can afford to buy Canadian especially Canadians!

Recently the oh so kind government allowed Unibroue into BC. Tariffs meant it was too expensive to import. Probably they forced the issue. My friends celebrated this as a part of nationalism. We are also heavily propagandised.

I have been saying for a few years now that the globalist intent is to retain control of Canada in the hopes of retrenching there and somehow getting back into America. What you outlined as 13 economically separate and designed to be so provinces and territories confirms that. And isn't it interesting. So, in order to truly fight against the states the globalists would have to do what would destroy any efforts to maintain Canada as an enemy of the states - unify the economy.

It's possible the only way to unify the economy is to become either a 51st state or a territory of the states. As a territory we could keep our flag, some of our laws, but ultimately have to answer to the US.

Very possible that we need to be the 51st to survive. It should be given a very sober look as a strategic possibility on this battlefield.

I’m not buying we are $5000 poorer because of interprovincial barriers. The more I hear the term the more I think of reconciliation. A nice sounding phrase full of hope to everyone who hears it but doesn’t have any *actual* concrete definition.

You want to be richer? Exploit the vast natural resources we have like no other nation (sans Russia). Did Team Twat..er Canada not just tell us last year summer road trips were going to burn the planet to a crisp? Or is that fake news in 2025? Hypocrites

Voters in Canada are as dumb as voters in America. However, once in awhile Americans come to their senses, but Canada never seems to. I’ve wondered about this for a long time. Can anyone shed some insight?

This is a larger conversation. But for one, the state has WAY more control over the Overton window here. Free thought is more difficult to cultivate here, imo.

I’d love to hear you discuss the Canadian ethos, if that’s the correct word. The Canadians I encounter look like, sound like and act just like Americans. But, when the subject of health care & politics is mentioned I see a very different type of person.

Canadians are more similar to the English.

I remember when we lived in Scotland our friends (mostly medical people) would visit or move to Canada much more often than the U.S.

Anyway, if you’re so inclined, I’d love to hear more from you about the Canadian mindset.

False narratives are everywhere: 90% of Canadians are labouring under these misconceptions. Sorry I’m being picky, but there is zero likelihood that we will get our act together. The most likely outcome is that Canada will collapse. Referendum in Quebec Alberta independence, economic collapse and pressure from the Orange one, these will likely combine in some-which-way to see us off as a viable nation.
